Trickle Impregnation Systems

Trickle impregnation machines are designed to apply varnish or epoxy onto parts as they are held and rotated. These trickle-impregnating systems work by dispensing resin over the part in specific locations at controlled volumes and flow rates. As a result, the resin can be applied very accurately with little or no excess resin lost or coating deposited on the part in undesirable areas. PLCs and linear motion actuators are used to accurately locate varnish trickle heads and to automatically adjust trickle head positions for varying part sizes.

HeatTek will work with your coating supplier when designing your trickle impregnation systems and machines to develop the correct coating volumes, rotational speeds, preheat and cure temperatures, and times for the parts being processed. HeatTek trickle impregnation machines are used by automotive component manufacturers, power tool manufacturers, and small motor manufacturers.

Advantages of Trickle Impregnation

  • Low resin consumption at a high filling level
  • Consistent resin distribution
  • Clean, automated process without resin dripping
  • High-quality
  • Maximum efficiency

Trickle Impregnation Oven Modifications & Rebuilds

When process requirements change, older ovens can be modified or rebuilt to meet current design standards and increase throughput or efficiency. Changes include new conveyors, increased energy efficiency, longer dwell times in the heat zones, and new controls. HeatTek will transform the equipment to “like new” conditions providing additional years of service at a comparatively lower cost.
