Resistance Power Heating Systems

HeatTek offers a line of resistance heat systems designed to process stators, rotors and armatures from 1 to 2000 pounds using resistance heat alone or in combination with other heating methods. Resistance heat is created using power supplies utilizing SCR controllers connected to the part lead wires or to the commutator. Parts can be processed either independently or automatically on line by slip ring assemblies that extend and retract with the conveyor movement. The rate at which parts are heated is then controlled by the known resistance at various temperatures, the wire size and the final preheat or cure temperatures for the resin being coated.

Each resistance heat system application is designed for the type of part, size, quantity to be processed and task to be accomplished. In many applications, resistance heat will be combined induction heat, convection heat, and infrared heat for final curing or maintaining part temperature after the initial resistance heat application.

Induction Heating Equipment Modifications & Rebuilds

When process requirements change, older ovens can be modified or rebuilt to meet current design standards and increase throughput or efficiency. Changes include new conveyors, increased energy efficiency, longer dwell times in the heat zones and new controls. HeatTek will transform the equipment to “like new” conditions providing additional years of service at a comparatively lower cost.
