Mechanical Assembler/Welder

Role Overview

While under the direction of the Mechanical Team Lead (or Level "A" Assembler when instructed), the Level “B” Assembler performs diversified assembly and erection operations recognized as standard processes. Works from complicated assembly drawings and specifications with progression supervision and checks. Final assemblies are inspected and tested.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Working from drawings, blueprints and verbal instructions perform basic skilled building, welding, fitting, aligning, and adjusting sub-assemblies, ensuring the highest level of quality while meeting job schedule, estimated hours, and customer specifications.
  • Identify and locate correct materials from blueprints to pull from stock, skids of fabrication, job baskets and/or pallet racks.
  • May assist in producing, teaching, and enforcing standard company build procedures.
  • Provide direction to and assist in the training of new hires at or below “B” Assembler level as instructed.
  • Organize and participate in the prepping and unmasking of sub-assemblies and equipment before and after the painting process.
  • Build crates, package product and load equipment on trucks for shipment.
  • Assist other departments to ensure products are completed on time.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.
  • Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.

Senior Field Service Technician

Role Overview

Reporting to the Field Service & Quality Assurance Manager, the Senior Field Service Technician is responsible for inspecting and servicing the company’s and other manufacturer’s equipment assuring quality product performance.  Address and resolve questions and issues regarding products of various types with guidance, as necessary.  Capable of servicing and understanding all related industry equipment with high levels of complexity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible to provide the highest level of support and handling the most difficult or advanced problems.
  • Maintain technical service expertise to assist in the research and development of solutions to new or unknown problems.
  • Demonstrate high level electrical wiring and controls knowledge and possess a broad mechanical understanding and background.
  • Electrical: 3 phase wiring, control wiring, understanding of: limit switches, pressure and flow sensors and transducers, proximity switches, level sensors, trouble-shooting of single and 3 phase wiring, set-up of temperature controller, set-up of variable frequency drives, use basic volt/amp/ohm meters.
  • Mechanical: able to read and understand blueprints and schematics, basic of alignment of conveyor shafts, basic of bearing installation, alignment and lubrication, tensioning and aligning v-belt and chain drives, know how to use: basic power and hand tools.
  • Responsible for installing, inspecting and starting-up company manufactured equipment at customer sites according to specifications and drawings.
  • Responsible for servicing all company products at customer sites; testing, troubleshooting, and adjusting as needed.

Role Overview

While under the direction of the Electrical Team Lead (when in house) and the Service Manager (when in the field), the Level “B” Assembler performs basic electrical aspects of the assembly of all product lines. Performs wiring and assembly operations involving intricate and precise equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Working from drawings, blueprints and verbal instructions perform basic skilled electrical assembly, ensuring the highest level of quality while meeting job schedule, estimated hours, and customer specifications.
  • Identify and locate correct materials from blueprints to pull from stock and/or job baskets.
  • Install and/or mount electrical components on equipment.
  • Terminate cables, troubleshoot electrical circuits, layout panels, drill and tap holes and route cables.
  • Perform motor, transformer wiring and some basic mechanical functions.
  • Select, cut, form, and install wiring accordance with specifications.
  • May provide direction to and assist in the training of new hires at or below “B” Assembler level as instructed.
  • May assist in producing, teaching, and enforcing standard company build procedures.

Quality Assurance Technician

Role Overview

Under the supervision of the Field Service and Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality Assurance Technician ensures that all built equipment meets or exceeds the design specifications to company quality standards and customer needs. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Interpret detailed blueprints, work orders, engineering specifications and routing sheets to determine production standards and tolerance limits.
  • Confirm blueprint and bill of materials meet the latest estimate revision and customer acknowledgement.
  • Check finished equipment for paint quality, welding quality, dimensions, fit, finish, and appearance.
  • Perform tests including burner sizing and operation, e-stops, safety interlocks and alarms according to Quality Assurance pre-ship punch list and oven safety check-off sheet.
  • Route product for rework.
  • Complete all required records and paperwork to include inspection reports, Quality Assurance pre-ship punch list and store in the proper folders.
  • Release equipment for painting when all punch list items have been verified, completed, and approved.
  • After painting is complete, perform final inspection and confirm all punch list items have been completed.
  • Analyze inspection results and assist in addressing and resolving production problems causing deviations from existing standards.
  • Communicate with Manufacturing Team Leads, Engineering and Operations Manager noted deviations of tolerances of quality.
  • Recommend modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
  • Assists Materials Coordinator with incoming materials inspection.

Role Overview

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for executing a cohesive brand standard for HeatTek.  The Marketing Coordinator will embrace the use of technology both current and emerging to perform their job duties enthusiastically and energetically.  This role coordinates our marketing efforts including printed material, digital campaigns, external events, and brand awareness to deliver the HeatTek Way.

Has graphic design abilities and knows basic layout principles.  Proficient with basic software and smartphone technology including email, internet, and calendaring applications and able to functionally use emerging technologies to support business needs. 
  • Hours and Work Environment: Individual must meet or exceed job requirements and company expectations.  Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.  Occasionally may work a flexible work schedule based on customer needs.  Able to work additional hours as required to meet deadlines. Occasional travel pertaining to marketing related activities, as necessary.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field and 3-5 years of relevant experience in marketing or a combination of both education and experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing industry.
