HeatTek, Inc offers a complete line of Vacuum Pressure Impregnation (VPI) and Vacuum Only Impregnation (VOI) Systems, Retrofits and Upgrades for systems, as well as Dip Tanks. This equipment is typically used throughout the OEM electric motor and generator industry, OEM transformer industry as well as the electric motor repair industry.
This area of HeatTek, Inc is overseen by Jeff Schein. Jeff has 25+ years of experience engineering, fabricating and commissioning impregnation systems of all types. HeatTek, Inc’s goal is to supply quality systems, focusing on the customer’s staff and facilities, resin selection, and process requirements. We will provide all aspects of the system design, as well as manufacture, install, commission, and service the system.
Our scope of supply includes new systems, used systems (when available), as well as upgrading and retrofitting existing customer systems. HeatTek, Inc can also integrate and automate all aspects of product movement pre and post impregnation process. This capability is especially valuable in the OEM motor and transformer manufacturing, assuring product process reliability while minimizing manpower requirements.

Vacuum Pressure (VPI) Impregnation Systems
HeatTek, Inc offers VPI Systems ranging in size from 2'-0" to 12'-0" in
diameter. Our typical systems include the following:
- Process chambers with hydraulically operated door and locking ring. All chambers designed for full vacuum and 100 PSI and include all pertinent safety devices and interlocks.
- We offer bolt – down, davit swing chamber doors for chamber sizes 2’-0” to 6’-0” at a cost savings.
- Storage reservoirs are designed for atmospheric as well as full vacuum service and come complete with an insulated cooling jacket.
- High quality vacuum pumping systems.
- Integral chiller / circulation pump systems that operate on resin temperature requirements.
- Low speed agitators that operate via timers and come complete with vapor or vacuum seals.
- NEMA rated electrical controls and wiring ensuring an operator friendly panel and process.
- All systems are factory assembled and tested as applicable and include commissioning / training in your facility.
HeatTek, Inc offers a variety of Options allowing the customer to organize the VPI System to meet both requirement and budget. Typical Options are:
- Chamber rotor shaft extension, false bottom, liners, and inserts

Vacuum Only (VOI) Impregnation Systems
HeatTek, Inc offers VOI Systems engineered to meet production needs as well as
the use of current part racks. Our typical systems include the following:
- Process chambers with hydraulically operated door. All chambers designed for full vacuum and atmospheric service and include all pertinent safety devices and interlocks. Process chambers can be square, rectangular, or round in design.
- Storage reservoirs are designed for atmospheric and full vacuum service and come complete with an insulated cooling jacket.
- High quality vacuum pumping systems.
- Integral chiller / circulation pump systems that operate on resin temperature requirements.
- Low speed agitators that operate via timers and come complete with vapor or vacuum seals.
- NEMA rated electrical controls and wiring ensuring an operator friendly panel and process.
- All systems are factory assembled and tested as applicable and include commissioning / training in your facility.

Dip Tank Impregnation Systems
HeatTek, Inc offers Dip Tanks in the sizes indicated below. Our systems include
the following:
- Tank sizes range from
- 3’ x 3’ x 3’ (170 gallons)
- 4’ x 4’ x 4’ (420 gallons)
- 5’ x 5’ x 5’ (840 gallons)
- 6’ x 6’ x 6’ (1485 gallons) - Tank construction is carbon steel and includes flat bottom, reinforced sides and top rim.
- Reinforced cover is pneumatically assisted with complete controls.
- Meets NFPA Standards for use with resins having a 200°F flashpoint or higher.
HeatTek, Inc offers a variety of Options allowing the customer to organize the Dip Tank to meet both requirement and budget. Typical Options are:
- Tank can be fabricated from stainless steel and in special shapes such as round or rectangular. We can also supply shaft wells or other fixtures.
- Tank can include an insulated external cooling jacket with chiller system operating via resin temperature.
- Integration of agitation systems to aid in mixing, cooling, or filtering of resin.
- Addition of tank vacuum capabilities aiding in depth of penetration as well as shortening of cycle times.
- HeatTek, Inc an supply tanks with ventilation and fire protection systems if required.
Impregnation System Retrofits and Upgrades
HeatTek, Inc can retrofit, rebuild, upgrade, and update any impregnation system
in the field today. A variety of reasons may lead you to retrofit your impregnation
system including a resin change, meeting a new customer supplied specification, minimizing
operator involvement, etc. HeatTek, Inc’s system knowledge and experience
will allow you to meet all your system requirements in the shortest time possible
and at the lowest possible cost. Typical system retrofits may include some or all
of the following:
- Process chamber updates of all pertinent safety devices and interlocks.
- New storage reservoir rated for vacuum service or adding an insulated cooling jacket.
- Update vacuum pumping system including micron capable vacuum pumping system, vacuum boosters, and cold traps.
- Integrate chiller / circulation pump systems that operate on resin temperature or with newer Freon.
- Retrofit to low speed agitators that operate via timers and come complete with vapor or vacuum seals.
- Integrate Resin filtering systems.
- Upgrade Plant air drying systems.
