Box and Pit Industrial Furnaces
HeatTek offers a wide variety of box and pit industrial furnaces designed for the heat treating and the foundry industry. Based on the desired temperature range of the process, components and insulation systems are designed to optimize the heat cycle while minimizing heat losses. Sizes range from small self supported chambers to large chambers loaded by over head cranes or trucks. Furnaces feature electric, direct gas fired heat or indirect gas heating systems and are designed based on the process, uniformity, and atmosphere requirements.
Drop Bottom Industrial Furnaces
Used primarily for aluminum solution heat treating, HeatTek designs include the latest construction techniques, insulation systems and control packages. Quench systems utilize either straight water or varying concentrations of glycol water mixtures and are temperature controlled to match final desired end results. Control systems visually monitor tank loading and automatic rack hooking operations keeping the operator away from the furnace and moving equipment. Temperature uniformities meet MIL and Aerospace specifications requiring +/- 5° F degrees of maximum temperature spread.
Car Bottom Industrial Furnaces
HeatTek Car Bottom Furnaces are custom designed for all temperatures from low temperature curing to heat treating temperatures for steel and alloys. Industrial furnaces utilize multiple high/low burner arrangements based on the size and temperature creating Military and Aerospace required uniformities. Rail cars feature load beds designed to handle custom loads supported by piers and alloy support beds. Cars are designed to use either attached end walls or vertical lift doors that seal onto soft ceramic blanket insulation. Bottom seals are often used to seal the cart perimeter giving the best seal. Systems are automatically controlled through PLC controls and remote operator stations.
Muffle and Sintering Industrial Furnaces
Let HeatTek design your muffle or sintering furnace. Our systems utilize alloy
muffles designed for a temperature up to 2000° F. for the powder metal industry and
processes that require atmospheres in a closely controlled environment. Most often
these industrial furnaces are heated by electric glow bars conducting heat to the outside of the
muffle. Mesh belts riding on either stainless steel or ceramic slide beds convey
product thru the muffles. Flame curtains and seals are provided at the entry and
exit for containing and collecting the atmosphere.
Rebuilds and Upgrades
If an upgrade to an existing industrial furnace is required, whether it be a furnace, insulation, door or control upgrade – HeatTek works close with you and our suppliers to give you the best improvement possible. We provide components to match your existing equipment and current design or provide new the latest new materials to meet the job.
Conveying Systems
Conveying systems of all styles are offered to meet your needs. A sampling of these methods include
- Rail Cars
- Insulated Stationary Hearths
- Mesh and Flat wire Belting
- Rails and Rollers
- Walking Beams
HeatTek systems are custom designed to meet your needs.
Atmospheres
If your process requires an atmosphere, HeatTek will integrate the atmosphere equipment into your system by utilizing plant supplied gases or externally generated mixtures. Controls are fully automated through the control system and operator work station.
